Overview

TECHNOFIL is a proprietary blend of minerals and inorganic polymers with non shrink properties used for crack filling up to 15mm wide cracks in concrete, masonry and plasterd surfaces. It is a single component powder that is water activated. It does not contain any Portland Cement or Resin.

*Set time will be shortened at higher temperature site conditions and will be delayed at lower temperature site conditions.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Cut the cracks into 10-15 mm deep V-grooves. Clean the grooves with a wire brush to remove all loose particles. Sprinkle grooves with clean water.

MIXING GUIDELINE

• Use about 225 ml of water for 1Kg of Material. Mix the slurry for 2 minutes until a homogenous mix of smooth, creamy and trowel able consistency is obtained. Apply the mix in the repair area and remember to wash off all the equipment immediately.
• Increasing the water content more than specified will drastically affect the final properties of the product.
• For Vertical Crack Filling application add Sand to the Mix to get the Putty consistency.

Above mixing times are based on using 20°C to 27°C temperature mixing water. During usage of higher temperature water for mixing, the mixing time to be shortened appropriately. The above mixing times are indicative only. Where mixing time is critical a trial mix is recommended.

TECHNOFIL has an approximate working time of 10minutes at 30°C

SAFETY

The use of dust mask, safety goggles and gloves is recommended.

STORAGE LIFE

TECHNOFIL has a shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacturing if stored in unopened original packing, under shade in dry and frost free conditions.
